Bassist Coop a Loop opens for Singer/Songwriters Steve Hartmann and John Gratton for an in-the-round session!
John Gratton is a Vermont singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer who reintroduced himself to the state’s music scene in 2021. His sound is Country Soul — country songwriting built on R&B, southern rock and gospel — and the first album under his own name is in production now: Welcome to the Family
Steve Hartmann ~Passionately captivating with a medicinal vocal conviction, he has been described as the grey between Damien Rice, Dave Matthews, Dermot Kennedy and Matt Maeson. Grace Potter states, “You stole my gypsy tears”. Hartmann’s Berklee College of Music experience, captivating stage presence, and engaging storytelling will draw you in and leave you wanting more. Coop a Loop is the solo project of Vermont bass virtuoso Eric Cooper. After years of bringing tight bass and deep pocket playing to ensembles across the Philadelphia area, Coop a Loop is back in Vermont with his looper and effects pedals to become the ensemble himself, maintaining a focus on melody and electronic bass guitar music that defies any expectation from a “looping bass player”.
