Performer Agreement & Booking Terms

The Flat Fee Model

Musicians are paid a pre-agreed flat fee. Shows are not ticketed and there's no cover for guests. Rate: $50 per musician, per hour.

The Ticketed Model

Applies to Saturday duets and larger ensembles. Approval is based on social-media presence, email list, and a realistic ability to draw an audience.

Guarantee & Split

Artist guarantee and ticket splits are negotiated on a case by case basis that considers various factors including, but not limited to, proven audience draw, draws' ability to purchase VSL goods, marketing coordination/partnership, event sponsorships, and date of the event. The guarantee is not additional to ticket sales — the artist receives whichever is greater.

Settlement & Payment Timing

Payments are processed one business day after the show, usually the following Monday.

Ticket Logistics & Policies

Tickets stop selling 1 hour 15 minutes into the show. No refunds. Walk-ins are admitted only if seats remain.

Marketing Requirements (Ticketed)

Artists must actively promote the show to their own audience; promotion and draw are factors in the negotiated terms.

Ensemble Size & Day-of-Week

Fridays are soloists and duos only (flat fee, max 2 musicians). Saturdays: soloists get flat fees; duos and larger use the ticketed model.

Volume Policy

The room is listening-forward and conversation-friendly. Percussion is limited to brushes or cajón.

Performer Amenities

One food item per performer plus unlimited non-alcoholic beverages.

Guest Access

Flat-fee shows: free entry. Ticketed shows: one guest-list spot per performer.

We're excited about the possibility of having you perform. Please read the terms carefully before submitting.

Terms & Conditions

Guarantee & Split: Artist guarantee and ticket splits are negotiated on a case by case basis that considers various factors including, but not limited to, proven audience draw, draws' ability to purchase VSL goods, marketing coordination/partnership, event sponsorships, and date of the event. Your specific terms are confirmed with you in writing before the show. The guarantee is not additional to ticket sales — the artist receives whichever is greater.

Performance Setup: Our bar supervisor sets up necessary cables and performs a sound check half an hour before the show. We cannot accommodate more than a trio unless a member is playing our grand piano. We have a PA system with microphones, cables, direct boxes, stands, and a mixer.

Your Equipment: For the safety of guests and staff, keep your gear and cables clear of the walkway. Do not bring your own PA system or loudspeakers — instruments and instrument amplification only. We have everything else you'll need.

Payment & Tips: You'll be paid within 24 hours. Feel free to put out a tip jar. We do not offer a sliding scale for tickets. One meal and one beverage are included per band member as additional compensation.

Promotion & Ticket Sales: Venetian Soda Lounge LLC helps cover advertising for the show. We provide a ticket salesperson at the door and pre-sell tickets online.

Liability: Performers agree to indemnify Venetian Soda Lounge LLC against all liabilities, injuries, or damages incurred while performing. Performers are responsible for their own safety and well-being.

Compliance: By agreeing, performers commit to providing a completed W-9 for payment processing, or we cannot process payment.

Agreement to Terms: Checking the box and submitting the application signifies that the performer(s) have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions herein.
