Elise Burchard is an NYC-based singer, songwriter, storyteller, and reformed troublemaker coaching youth sports, stories, and beyond. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School after graduating from Colorado College. As a writer, she’s co-written comedic educational stories for Duolingo and was selected by The Second City Training Center in the “Works by Women Festival”. “What the Puck” is a one-woman comedic musical memoir about losing your voice and finding it again. After a slapshot to the throat in a pickup hockey game leaves her unable to speak, a chronic people-pleaser must decide whether to keep shrinking or finally speaking her truth. With hard-hitting original songs, titanium in her larynx, and a dream in her heart, What the Puck dares us to use our voices—no matter what life throws at us.
