Emerging Songwriter Contest 2025 Hosted by Troy Millette

Contest Rules:

• Duration: 4-week semifinals, followed by a 5th-week final.

• Participants: Total 12 contestants per week. 

• Performances: 2 songs or up to a 10-minute set.

• Eligible Acts: Songwriters, duos, and solos.

Performance Guidelines

Instruments: 

• No amplifiers or pre-recorded tracks allowed.

Stage Setup: 

• Equipped with 2 microphones, 2 direct boxes, and 1 baby grand piano.

Judging

Judges: 

• 3 guest judges per week.

• Judges may perform a song at the start of the show but cannot compete in the contest.

Selection Process: 

• 8 pre-sign-up spots available ONLINE.

• 4 on-call spots available on the day of the show.

• The order of performances drawn on the day; must be present when called or face disqualification.

• Contestants can sign up for one semifinal spot only.

Weekly Contest Progression: 

• 2 winners each week advance to the finals, plus 1 alternate in case of dropouts.

• Final Round on week 5

• Participants: 8 finalists from the semifinals.
